Block Smasher · Contessasoft · Effective 4 October 2026

This policy explains what information the Block Smasher mobile game ("the game", "we", "us") collects, why, and the choices you have. The game is published by Contessasoft. Contact: support@contessasoft.co.zw.

1. Information stored on your device

Your scores, Adventure progress (stars per level), settings (sound, music, vibration, notifications, block skin), hints used, purchased hint balance and similar game progress are saved on your device so the game remembers them. This stays on your device unless you choose to sign in (section 3).

2. Hall of Fame (leaderboards)

To show worldwide and per-country leaderboards, the game creates an anonymous player ID with Google Firebase Authentication and stores, in Google Cloud Firestore:

Your nickname, country, best score and Adventure stars/level are public — anyone using the game can see them on the leaderboards. Please don't use your real name or personal details as a nickname.

3. Optional account (Bind Account) and cloud save

If you choose Settings → Bind Account → Sign in with Google, we receive from Google a sign-in token, your Google account's unique ID and email address, which Firebase uses to link your game progress to your Google account. We then save in Firestore: best score, nickname, country, chosen skin, whether ads are removed, sound/music/vibration settings, hint usage and purchased hint balance, Adventure progress (stars per level and rewards claimed), and number of games played — so you can restore them on another device. We do not receive your Google password.

4. Notifications

If you allow notifications, the game may remind you to come back (for example, that an Adventure level is waiting). These reminders are scheduled on your device and are cancelled when you open the game. We may also send occasional announcements (such as new levels) with Firebase Cloud Messaging, which gives your device an anonymous messaging token used only to deliver them. You can turn notifications off at any time in Settings → More Settings → Notifications or in your device settings.

5. Advertising

The game shows ads served by Google AdMob (banner, between-game and optional reward ads). AdMob may collect and use information such as your device's advertising ID, IP address, device and app information, and ad interactions to show, measure and (with your consent where required) personalise ads, and to prevent fraud. Google's SDKs in the game (AdMob, Firebase) may also collect crash logs and diagnostic data (such as app performance and stability information) to keep their services working and to detect abuse. In the European Economic Area, the UK, Switzerland and US states with privacy laws, the game asks for your choices through Google's consent form; you can change them any time in Settings → More Settings → Privacy choices. You can also reset or opt out of personalised ads in your device settings. See how Google uses information from apps that use its services.

6. Purchases

In-app purchases (Remove Ads, hint packs) are processed by Google Play. We never receive your payment card details; we only receive a purchase token and product ID to deliver your item. Google's privacy policy applies to the payment.

7. Service providers

We use Google services to run the game: Firebase Authentication, Cloud Firestore, Firebase Cloud Messaging and Firebase Hosting (Google LLC; data stored in the United States), Google AdMob, and Google Play Billing. They process data on our behalf or as independent controllers under their own terms. We do not sell your personal information. Ad personalisation by AdMob may count as "sharing" under some US state laws — you can opt out through Privacy choices or your device's ad settings.

8. Children

The game is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age in your country), and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has provided personal information, contact us and we will delete it.

9. Keeping and deleting your data

Leaderboard entries and cloud saves are kept until you delete them. You can delete your account and data in the game (Settings → Bind Account → Delete account), or follow these instructions, or email us. Deletion removes your leaderboard entry, cloud save and sign-in account within 30 days; data on your own device is removed when you uninstall the game.

10. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete or export your personal information, and to object to or restrict its use. Email support@contessasoft.co.zw and we will respond within 30 days. You may also complain to your local data-protection authority.

11. Security

Data is sent over encrypted connections (HTTPS) and protected by access rules so that only you can read or change your cloud save, and only you can change your own leaderboard entry.

12. Changes

We may update this policy; the effective date above will change and significant changes will be shown in the game.
